📱 How to Enable or Disable GPS Tracking in the Mobile App

Controlling GPS tracking settings in the Take5™ Connect mobile app ensures your location data is managed according to your preferences. Follow this guide to enable or disable GPS tracking on your device.


Step 1: 🛠️ Access In-App Location Settings

  1. Tap the gear icon (⚙️) in the top-left corner of the Home screen to open the settings menu.
  2. Select General Settings from the list.

Step 2: 🔄 Understanding the Location Services Disclosure

  1. In the General Settings menu, tap Location Services Disclosure.
  2. The pop up screen will then detail how the app uses location services information, for you to be able to read and understand.

Step 3: 🔧 Access Native Device Location Settings

  1. In the General Settings menu, tap Open Native Settings.
  2. This will open your device’s location permission settings.

Step 4: 📱 Adjust Device Location Permissions

For iOS (Recommended iOS 12+)

  1. Go to Settings > Take5™ Connect > Location.
  2. Choose one of the following options:
    • Always: Enables GPS tracking even when the app is in the background.
    • While Using the App: Tracks location only when the app is open.
    • Never: Disables GPS tracking entirely.

For Android (Recommended Android 10+)

  1. Go to Settings > Apps > Take5™ Connect > Permissions > Location.
  2. Choose one of the following options:
    • Allow all the time: Enables GPS tracking even when the app is in the background.
    • Allow only while using the app: Tracks location only when the app is open.
    • Deny: Disables GPS tracking entirely.

❓ Troubleshooting

  • No GPS Option Available: Ensure you have the necessary permissions to adjust location settings. Contact your administrator if needed.
  • Unable to Access Native Settings: Check your device’s settings to ensure the app has the required permissions to modify location settings.
