📱 How to Sign Into a Site via QR Codes in the Mobile App
Signing into a site using QR codes simplifies the process and ensures you are properly checked in. This guide walks you through the steps to sign in and out using QR codes in the Take5™️ Connect mobile app.
Signing In via QR Code
- Open the SiteConnect App:
Log into the Take5™️ Connect mobile app and click on the Scan QR button located at the bottom of the screen. - Scan the QR Code:
This will open the camera view on your device. Point your camera at the SiteConnect QR code displayed at the site entrance to sign into the Project/Site.- If the dot next to the Scan QR button is green, this means you are already signed in to a Site.
- If you’re having trouble scanning the QR code, ensure that the app has permission to use your camera.
- Acknowledge On-Site Hazards/Risks:
After scanning, you will be prompted to review the On Site Hazards/Risks for the site. Scroll through the hazards and risks to familiarize yourself with them. Once you have read and understood them, click the Tap to Complete Sign In button to complete the sign-in process. - Access Site Details:
After signing in, you will be taken to the Details Tab for the Site. This tab contains icons for additional information related to the site. You can also view the Noticeboard for general information or the Hazards tab for specific hazards/risks at that site.

Signing Out via QR Code
- Scan the Same QR Code:
To sign out of a Site, simply scan the same QR code when leaving the site. - Manual Sign-Out Option:
If you forget to scan out, you can go to the Details Tab and click the Sign Out of Site button. If your screen is smaller than usual, swipe down above the blue box to reveal this button, along with the Emergency Evacuation Plan button. - Alternative Sign-Out Method:
If needed, you can manually sign out by tapping the Gear icon on the upper left-hand side of your Home page. Then select Sign Out of Sites, and choose the specific Site to sign out. - Note on Signing Out of All Sites:
When you sign into a site using the QR code, you will be signed out of all other sites. If you have overlapping geofences, only GPS sign-ins will allow you to be signed into multiple sites.

🧩 Troubleshooting
- QR Code Scanning Issues: Ensure that the app has the correct permissions to access your camera.
- App Permissions: Double-check that location and camera permissions are enabled for the Take5™️ Connect mobile app in your device settings.
