🏒 How to Create, Update, Print, or Delete QR Codes

QR codes are used in Take5β„’ Connect for touchless site access, sign-in verification, and streamlined safety compliance. This guide walks you through how to create, update, print, and delete QR codes in the platform. πŸ‘‡


Step 1: πŸ—οΈ Go to the Sites Section

  1. Once logged in, locate the Sites tab from the left-hand menu.
  2. Click on the site where you want to manage QR codes.
  3. Click Edit to open the site settings.

Step 2: βž• Create a New QR Code

  1. In the site editor, click the QR Codes tab.
  2. Click + New QR Code.
  3. Enter a Name for the QR code.
  4. Optionally, add a Custom Message to display to users upon scanning.
  5. Select the Type of QR Code (e.g. In, Out, In/Out, Location)
  6. Click Save to generate the QR code. βœ…

Step 3: πŸ–¨οΈ Print a QR Code

  1. From the QR Codes list, click View next to the code you want to print.
  2. A QR preview window will appeared
  3. Two QR Codes will appear, either branded or not.
  4. Right-click the image and select Save Image As.
  5. Choose your format (PDF or image) and print as needed.

Step 4: ✏️ Update an Existing QR Code

  1. In the QR Codes tab, click Edit next to the code you want to modify.
  2. Make your desired changes to the Name, Message, or Access Type.
  3. Click Save to apply changes.

Step 5: ❌ Delete a QR Code

  1. Click Delete next to the QR code you want to remove.
  2. Confirm the deletion in the pop-up prompt.
    ⚠️ Note: Deleted QR codes cannot be recovered through the UI. Contact support for restoration options.

❓ Troubleshooting

  • Can’t see the QR Codes tab? Ensure you have permission to edit the site.
  • QR Code won’t print? Try downloading it as an image or PDF, then print from your file viewer.
  • Deleted the wrong QR code? Contact support for help restoring it.
